the other day i was mowing my yard and hit something, the blade stopped and motor shut off, then the oil started pouring out the bottom of the motor, motor is a Briggs and Stratton, unfortunately I can not find the model number, this is an older push mower that was given to me. i opened the oil pan and a small bolt fell out?? Not sure where the bolt would have come from inside the motor, also noticed a "tooth" was missing on one of the lower gears and another tooth was bent.. i am not sure how to get the shaft off to completely open the engine up.. my question is, is this something i can try to repair on my own or do i need to seek a professional, I rather do things on my own to save money of course.. :confused2:
