But am I dead tired...and meant to say it was my neighbor that did the sawing; might just shoot him next time just to put him out my misery. Boy I hate it when they constantly rev a saw instead getting it fixed.

Be nice if they knew someone who could fix it, wouldn't it? 😁🤣

It is a Trumper (according all the flags and signs) that thinks I am an enemy because I won't talk politics or religion with him. Especially when the first words out his mouth is hate on the very first day we met. I know to stay out those discusses; I just keep those things to myself. I don't try to force my opinions on anyone.

We had a few those guys here that actually had billboards in their yards. Three of them made no friends and end up having to sell their homes as their next door neighbors would not have any thing to do with them. Some people just carry things too far especially using billboards with profanity on them.

Oh I know what the saw problem is just listening to it but it is his to burn up. Besides he has already nearly clobbered a vehicle by pulling down a tree in the roadway while a pickup was passing a week ago. And there plenty four words yelled at him. I am surprise didn't hit the pickup with the track hoe bucket.

But we know the type that thinks race revving an engine is fixing it. My brother blew up one engine because it would not idle so he floor boarded it. Nothing but came out the twin exhaust afterwards but lots of oil.

Luckily we have optional preferential voting down here
This means you can just put 1 in the box you want or number every square from start to finish
In the last senate there were 189 boxes & I numbered every one because the parties go through these results with a fine tooth comb to see what policies might get a couple more percent votes at the next election.
At the last election from the 20,000,000 voters only 160 filled in all of the squares, it took all of 10 minutes .
So when any one starts complaining about the government it is a simple case of did you vote above or below the line ?
Every one will of course say above .
" well if you are too F--ing lazy to spend 10 minutes voting don't waste my time complaining"
Knocks them for a 6 and they never complain about politicians to me again.

Back on their 6. How true Bert.

Now in some areas the problem is there is not enough voting areas. This causes very long line at the voting area and most are to impatient to stand (not able stand) long periods. Now we got on top that got to watch for some idiot attacking the voting area. The last major election we had 4 county sheriffs standing guard at my small voting area.
They were there to protect us from idiots.

I vote so I right to complain about things are going. Some complain but never vote so ought keep their darn mouth shut as they are part of the problem. There is no way we will have a true representing government if only a fraction of the voters ever vote.

In the last presidential election here is about the only time I seen in my lifetime that are large portion of the voters actually voted. I hope we have just as a good of a turn the next election.

Political discussions seem to be abundant if you get involved. In the past I have spent more time than necessary getting into them with customers. We mostly agree which makes things much less controversial, however, nothing is accomplished, except I waste time. Time that I can’t get back. Next year will be less political and more surface discussions with customers. Just too busy to be wasting hours for no good reason.

I'm a fiscal conservative (not a Republican). I simply haven't had no one to vote for since 2016. 3rd party and writes in's are a joke.

Personally I am an independent voter. By that I means I vote for who ever I feel can do job best without lying so much. But yes some areas 3rd candidates don't have a snow ball chance of getting elected. I do vote split ticket for a reason as there good on each side as well as bad candidates.

You ain't kidding. Both my senators and my congressman don't have a clue about fiscal conservatism. Or Constitutional conservatism, for that matter. This is the GOP now a days though. It's either vote for the left or RINO's.
And it's looking like it's going to be Trump & Biden again. UGH!!!!!!!

"Lesser of two evils" only keeps the uniparty alive and well.

Wanna see the right and the left come together on an issue? Watch a 3rd party candidate start leading in the polls. The R & D's will team up to squash the 3rd party (or independent) candidate.

Before FRKjr dropped the DNC, he was making some headway. Getting in the news pretty regularly. Since he went independent, they media is treating him like the plague.

I tried to be a delegate in the RNC in 2012. A buddy of mine tried to be one for the DNC that same year. We swapped notes and both come to the conclusion that elections are rigged from the bottom up. Primaries are a scam. Conventions are a scam. And it's all fueled by the media.

Fact: If they didn't want Trump to be the next president, the media would simply ignore him.

The truth of it is the bulk of the people sit in the sensible centre
Centre left, centre right there is 5/8 of SFA between them
However parties get captured by the hard left or hard right all of which are morons .
Now if you want to have some fun, start a "go-fund-me" page for a new party to represent the sensible centre, call them Purples .
Find another 49 with a similar sense of humour to start up one in every state .
Run a platform of unlimited aid for Ukraine & fixing the border by making it illegal to employ undocumented workers with a minimum 10 year sentence for employers .
The watch the reds & blues suddenly find common ground .

As I have said before
China is using Wall St to destroy the USA economically
Russia is using the red & blues to destroy the USA politically .
And both of them are very near success .

Even with out child labor laws we can't the kids out the dangerous work environments. A chicken processor just got busted after a 16 yr old got killed and other chicken processors had kids as young as 12 yrs old cleaning sharp knives at another plant.

Yes illegals should barred from being hire to work but it will happen because employer greed and the fact workers turn a blind eye to it because they are afraid of losing their jobs. Right now close by is wood processing business that is working employees under the table and not paying any taxes but getting an anonymous tip to look at is nearly impossible. No worker at the place will stand up for others.

If XI is still in power by the end of 2024 I will be suprised. The china real estate market is collapsing. Developers Country Garden and Evergrande are defaulting on loans in the billions. The piggy bank called the USA has had a few thousand companies leave china for friendlier countries. Orders and exports are down year over year over 25%, that is huge. Moody's just downgraded many CCP controlled stocks and banks from stable to negative, that's big. China has quit publishing unemployment numbers but it is climbing. Like most dictators XI is not an economist and is more worried about keeping power than anything else thus the new foreign relations espionage act. I'm just making more popcorn and sitting back and watching china implode. The PLA has no officers with any combat experience and all of their copies of military hardware are untested in real combat so the PLA is a paper tiger.

Wasn't suppose to sense. Have we gone over your head Rivets?

We are just discussing how things are and not taking any political sides. I don't discuss my actual political standing. It would cause too many hard feeling on all sides.

Covid actually messed up the world economy overall. According to my records here I actually had a very good year thanks for prior purchases that the retail has gone up since i brought parts. And the fact I took time during the main wave of Covid to research parts and cross reference a lot of them to lower cost OEM manufactures.

Otherwords why pay JD high prices on Kawasaki parts when you can get them directly from Kawasaki. Or Briggs prices on parts they buy from Husqvarna when you can get them from Husqvarna. Or pay MTD prices on bearings when can get the same bearings from a bearing distributor.

Here is an example Bad Boy Spindle 037-6024-00 bearing cost me from Bad Boy $29 ea. And 6305-2RS C3 bearing from the distributor is only $5.75.

I think it was called Brewster's Millions. He got into the politics to lose lots of money but had to quit as he was winning as a write in canidate and he was having to spend $30 million within a year to get $300 million inheritance.

And Scrub can you give this old tire Owl a warm blanket? Boy it is cold @32 F to a person that has lost 40lbs and have been put blood thinners. I was shivering earlier today until the neighbor offer me a hot cup of Java.

Bert I got a question you might be able to enlighten me on. How does negative interest rates works? Are they paying borrowers to borrow money?
Exactly as it sounds
I put 100 in the bank & at the end of the year it is worth $ 99
Same as stock write downs
With interbank loans, the reserve pays private banks to borrow money

There are 3 kinds of government debt
1) direct loans from brokers either in the country or externally
So washington basically writes a loan application to Chase Manhatten for $ XXX to be paid of over Y years at the rate $Z per month
2) Bonds or other papers like tax leans sold to private companies both within the USA & outside.
Things like trust funds are obliged to by these because they can not fail, in OZ all domestic banks must also hold a significant amount of customer deposits in government bonds these as you know are paid in full at some specific time in the future as purchase price + interest
3) money printing , same as above except the government issues the bonds but only the reserve bank buys them .
This debt is not real. it is a left pocket to right pocket deal in order to keep the books balanced and usually governments simply write it off over period of time .
It is a good debt to have politically because it can be used as an excuse to not do things like say widen Medicade or give tax cuts cause we owe this massive amount of money ( to ourselves )

Total US debt ≈ 34 trillion but of that only 10 trillion is real ( type 1& 2 ) above .
sill a lot of money
The big worry is State debts because collectivley that are several factors of magnitude bigger then federal debt and theirs is all type 1 & 2 as only the feds can invent money so it all has to be paid back from tax collected

I was thinking in the terms of loans. Would negative interest rates means they pay you to borrow the money?

I something similar once after I brought and paid for my home. The sent out a letter saying they could lower my monthly mortgage payments. I knew they would not nut I pestered anyways. The loan officer was all excited to see me until we got to refinancing the loan then she they couldn't do it as I was looking for them to pay me to have the loan.
