Help with identifying engine model

For the life of me, I can’t find the engine model number imprinted Anywhere on this mower. It needs a new governor/throttle spring. Any Idea what the model number is for this engine or the part number for the spring?

It should be stamped into the valve cover. You may also find it on tinwork near the muffler.

It’s possible I’m missing it but I’ve looked everywhere, I don’t see anything anywhere.

Look behind the carb on the crankcase, or the entire crankcase for that matter for a number electro etched like on old dot matrix printer.
Being it is on a Craftsman push mower and the serial number is so high it is probably an engine from the Briggs factory in China .
It will not have the words Model & Code like a regular Briggs engine, just a 6 digit number , a space a 4 digit number then a dash & 2 more digits .
They are large thin & light grey so can be hard to see and usually vertical

It could even be on the blower housing above the head. But may need to remove the plastic covering the housing to see it.

I have a Briggs 4.5 HP that I also cannot find number on. It says Briggs engine made especially for Homelite. The Homelite number is UT 30165. It is a quantum engine. Mower purchased in late days of Homelite and I wonder if they just put mowers together with the parts on hand. It has been a great mower and still cutting grass. Starts on third pull and only runs wide open.

I believe the model number on the quantum engine is on the flap above the muffler. If not there then above the spark plug but sometimes is blocked by the plastic pretty cover.
