I have a cub cadet lawn tractor. It starts up fine. After five to sixty minutes of mowing it sputters then dies. I let it sit for fifteen minutes and it starts all over again. I have changed the plugs, filters, gas, gas cap, tested the PTO safety switch and seat safety switch. I haven’t checked the coil or fuel pump. Help!!!

We start by working out if it is electrical , fuel or over heating.
To do this you need to get a can of carb cleaner ( or starter fluid but carb cleaner is better ) an inline spark tester like the Oregon 42-087 ( one for each cylinder is better ) and a volt meter.
Fit the spark testers sip the meter and can of carb cleaner in a bag & go mow.
The instant it stops, stay in your seat & crank the engine, checking for red flashes , check the battery voltage then try to start the engine with a SHORT squirt of carb cleaner down the carb throat
Let us know what happens

Yes I agree with Bert all the way.... If you can't get the in line testers,, PLEASE DON"T buy the HF type they don't throw a good spark that you can see.......

Take the plug out right away and check for spark... You might have to have someone close at hand to turn the engine over so you see the spark from the plug.....

Let us Know Mon Ami ~!~!
