Greetings from the UK.I have several old mowers and one ride-on type.
Having lived at my current address for many years I have accumulated 19 mowers at last count, mainly through not chucking them away when they stopped functioning for one reason or another. This is clear-out year...either that or I may book in for therapy:ashamed:
I will try and list them when I scribble the details down on paper.I even have one I ran on olive oil instead of two-stroke. That one may be from the fifties or sixties, inherited it in the late seventies and the motor has not been down, reckon it`d strike up after 30-odd years...obviously I would use two-stroke this time:rolleyes:

Thanks for the welcome Lawn Mower Fanatic, will post some pics when I can.Mostly they all need a lot of tlc.
I think the most modern I have are an old Yamaha YLM 342 I bought as a non-runner years ago, turned out the previous owner had put the carb on back-to-front.It blew the bottom crank seal and then the crankcase gasket during a hot summer spell, crankcase joint is now plugged successfully with plastic metal filler.
There`s a sad old Honda HR173 which has sent its crankcase oil past the piston.Bought another engine but it`s from a newer model and doesn`t fit the original deck.Ho-hum.
