My name is Bruce Welty-Johnson. I enjoy working on my GTO, my Sears SS12 Garden Tractor & Simplicity Landlord. I have been a snowmobile mechanic for the past 20 years, 12 year professionally 8 years as a hobby. I worked in Law Enforcement as a Corrections Officer now retired due to disability. I'am married with 2 sons who help me with restoring my Sears Garden Tractor and my GTO. I have also taken up making Electric Guitars. I live in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

Hi Rellik and Welcome to LMF. I have a retired friend of mine who is keeping the old Ford LG's with the cast iron Kohler side-shaft engines going by a lick and a promise with a little help from me now and again! Those old cast iron Kohler's either keep on running until the end of time, or you can't get them started until the end of time! I've got a 14 HP now sitting like a garden gnome on the log splitter and has been for several years now. I have all but given up on it and am looking for a replacement engine currently. It's fun to work on those old mowers "sometimes". :confused2:
