Thanks everyone for the welcoming response!
Some more information (perhaps too much?):
Lot size: 1 acre, majority is lawn.
The front yard is larger than the back and consists of a flat section that declines briefly towards the woods alongside the house.
The back is considerably narrower and slopes significantly towards the woods behind the house.
The house is on a hilltop section of town and I don't anticipate wet spots.
Not much in the way of obstacles within the lawns. A small tree and a flower bed in front. In back, there is just the patio, house and woods at the perimeter.
During walkthrough, I noticed that the previous owner had a Simplicity lawn tractor and a two-stage walk behind snowblower.
I don't anticipate needing a tractor to plow or pull stumps, so a garden tractor would probably be overkill. A tractor would be used for mowing and perhaps snow removal.
I'm not sure of the relative benefits of a tractor-mounted snowblower versus a walk behind. Can a lawn tractor handle this or is a lawn and garden tractor needed?
Thanks for your feedback.
