Just thought I would say hello to everyone as I just signed up.
I am from Connecticut, former Military. I have too many hobbies to list, most of them involve electronics. In the past couple years I have gotten the bug to work on small engines. A neighbor was giving away a 1981 John Deere 212 Lawn tractor in pretty rough shape. I said what the heck, and took that as a challenge. Shes now my second working tractor mower and I have been taking in other older (not a big fan of new equipment) pieces of equipment to fix up and use: Snow blowers, trimmers, push mowers, etc.
Besides the John deere my favorite piece of equipment I fixed up was a 1971 and 1967 Simplictiy sno-away 7HP and 5HP. I have a briggs & stratton 5hp Water pump I want to fix up, a John Deere 1973 Snow blower, and a Cub Cadet Chipper/yard vac. The list goes on. I got most of this stuff free which adds to the fun of it.
