No modle 7050 is shown for 83...and it is definitely not a 59...my info stops at 84 ...but given the fact that my 87 still has a cast deck..I would date your machine in the 90s

Looking at the product details of all of the 7050 mowers from 83 to 86, they all had the steel deck, so it is in that range of 83-86.

Have you looked at the drawings from the Lawnboy site? It is obviously the mower he has.

I agree that it's probably from the 83-86 range....it looks like the assembly drawing from the '83. The mower was given to me in 1998 and the guy said he got it from his father in law and it was "at least" 10yrs old, so it make sense that it would be from that era.

I appreciate everybody's input on this. This is a great forum with lots of helpful info!

For the 7050 I looked in my hard copy 53-68 service manual...his machine was not there...then I looked at toro lookup pdf..1953-1984 modle list and specs....his machine is not there. These are my only sources of info and are for US modles. However I have found other threads about dating the same machine and it was determined that the confusion is because the newer 7050 machine was made in Canada and has diffrent serial number coding than a US machine. With this in mind..his machine may very well be an early to mid eighties machine.....but whatever the year...it's not even close to 1959.
One thing I can say...Chris...you have a conversation piece for sure...lol
@fish I tried to look at your link but my phone don't have the right java script or something to that effect.
I'll check it out on the computer when I get home.

Didn't you at least click on the link to the Lawnboy Master Parts Viewer???

Why not?

Anyone over the age of 30 could tell that it was not made in 1959..
