Handle Blade Control Lawnboy 6261

Hello,

This is my first time here. I had to replace the little blade lock handle on my Lawnboy 6261. While I was doing that. The 2 little round springs fell out. I didn't see how they were in there so I don't know how they go back in?
Can anyone help me?

This one is going to be very difficult to help you out. First this mower was only manufactured for one year 1983 and uses a BLADE OVERRIDE SYSTEM (BOS). I am unable to find any diagrams for this system. If I had the unit in front of me I could probably figure it out, but that is not possible. My only suggestion is to find a Toro/ LawnBoy dealership with an older mechanic who has worked on the old units. Sorry I can’t be of more assistance.

Where did you get the replacement handle? What is the part number?
