the handbrake on my mtd ha4145 ride on does not work the electrics are fine as it needs to be on to stat but it does not stop the the mower from rolling does anyone know how to adjust it?

is it an auto?....#69 on the diagram is the brake adjust nut.. Buy Spare Parts for Yard-Man (MTD) HA 4145 / 13AP414A643 (2001) - MTD002610 Hydrostatic transmission - Powertool Spares ......turn right to tighten...but not too far or your brake will be on all the time:smile:

thanks for the reply i have tryed adjusting the nut but it still does not stop the mower rolling. Is there any brake pads that could need replacing?
