Engaging parking brake also kills engine.

Have changed ignition module and circuit board, no change.

Thinking reverse sensor may be at fault, but have no clue where that thing is located.

Any ideas on what is going on here?

Do yourself a big favour and spend the money on the JD technical manual for your mower
It would have already saved you a lot of money from replacing parts that are probably perfectly good .
The reverse switch is generally on the transaxel and activated by the control arm hitting it .
Usually it is part of the seat switch sub looms so follow those wires down and see where they go

Thanks so much for the reply.

Parts were swapped from another JD so no cost there.

Missed the wires to the trans axle. (duh)

Maybe they're not there?

Was gifted a non-working machine, (no seat, no starter, no hood, flat tires, etc) but runs strong.

Ready to mow if I can get the PTO to go.

Check your seat switch. with the transaxle wiring you will be able to mow in reverse without having to activate the mow reverse mode.

Thanks for the diagram!

Hope this pea brain can figure it out.

Looked for the reverse sensor, but the only wires in the split loom were the red and yellow, which goes to the seat switch.

Will check seat switch next.

OK

Seat switch was disconnected and wires have been jumped.

Jumped wires were a little corroded.

Cleaned jumper wires and PTO took right off.

Mowed a test patch and am good to go.

Many thanks!

After mowing with an All Wheel Steer for the last 20 years, the turning radius on the 325 sucks.
