Grease used on spindles?

Well...I called and spoke with the scag dealer where I bought my turf tiger. The mechanic said Lucas red and tacky was the best to use. I called a couple of other scag dealers nearby and one said a black molly (they didn't know the brand they were using :( while the other said mystic j6 (not sure of the j6 but something like that).

All three stated they used the same grease for all zerk fittings.

The Scag Manual indicates White Lithium grease for the Spindles. I looked high and low, but failed to find that in a tube.

SO. I went with Mystic JT6 High Heat- EP2 Lithium Complex (a red grease)

Any good high temp grease will work just fine, as long as you preform maintainance according to schedule.
