Gravely 1840 won't even click, these work, new starter, new solinoid, battery charged 100%, lights are bright, two 30 A fuses under seat changed, is there other fusees somewhere, could emergency brake safety switch be bad?

bit late for you now.
You start by checking the control ( trigger ) wires that go on the base of the solenoid
If there are 2 of them , 1 should go + 12 V with the key in the start position, the other should be ground in the start position.
In some systems, both are switched
Typical on ZTR the + wire will go through the PTO & brake switches
While the ground will go through the lap bars.

To make assembly easier most switches are double pole so have both a 12 V switch for the starter & ground switch for the kill wire.
Cross them over , send 12V to the magneto & you will kill them stone dead so it is prudent to disconnect the kill wires from the coils before you start then remove the spark plugs

Cranking circuit

Hot wire on solenoid

Fuse

B terminal in ign switch

S terminal in ign switch

PTO Switch

Brake switch

Solenoid trigger wire

After you have checked the ignition switch is connecting the B & S terminals, pull the plug off the back of it and bridge the S & B wires.
Switch will have the letters B, S, G, M , A & L cast on the back
In the start position B & A are also connected which will turn on the fuel solenoid and you dont want that to happen sa the fuel solenoid needs fuel passing across it to keep it cool so you have to make sure you are only bridging the B & S

very in depth answer. I WAS thinking to bridge solenoid with remote starter I use on My jeep is that what your saying by pass start part of ignition switch Worked day before but ran out of battery before it would start

That will get you out of a pickle but at some point you need to find out what is wrong.
