I just bought a Gravely zero turn. The only engine options were Kawasaki and Kohler. I've used Kohlers for years but my dealer thinks the current Kawasaki engines are more reliable than the Kohler so I went with Kawasaki. Gravely and Yamaha were never mentioned.
The Pro Turn Z has a Gravely branded Loncin 26.5 hp 746cc engine exclusively.
There is nothing wrong with the Kohler engines. Do the scheduled maintenance and it should last a long time.
Yamaha is done as far as mower engines. They may return at some point.
