grasshopper steering levers

Anyone have any information on how set up the safety switches for the steering arms? I recently replaced mine and I am having problems with the pto shutting down with the levers in. The mower will also start with the arms in,

I spoke with Dick at Grasshopper and he "steered me in the right direction". I adjusted the switches so that you here them click once you start taking them to the in position. Once I explained what was happening he told me it sounded like the seat switch was bad. I bypassed it and everything is now working as it should. I will order a new one asap. Just thought I would follow up.
