Not familiar with the grasshopper, but do you have 1 or 2 hydro pumps? "Hydro Gear" are the most commonly used pumps where there are 2 pumps and 2 wheel motors. There should be what looks like a black bolt on the pump that takes a 5/8 wrench to open. Open it only "one" revolution.
