Repairs grasshopper 616 blowen engine

I have a grasshopper 616 that started using a lot of oil and smoking this summer
will the engine decided to die
looking for a replacement engine that will fit into the 616 with out a lot of retro fitting
any ideas

it is a Vanguard 16 v-twine
engine family ABSXS.4792HH 279306
eu e11*97/68SA*2004/26*0331*01

just pulled a valve cover and a broken push rod

No those are the EPA numbers and do not help. The model number is imprinted into metal somewhere around the exhaust.
