Grass slowing down....

The past few days have been 90 degrees, and it has not rained in awhile. That has caused the grass to slow down. I cut most lawns every 7 days, and it is actually manageable after that long! In some yards that don't have trees in their front yard, the grass is browning and hardly grew at all! I am still busier than ever before, but I still hope it rains soon!

Sounds like an ample opportunity to start a sprinkler business.

I'm with RatRacer we get an inch a week not to mention the .10" and .20" every other evening. Hard to get the lawns mowed, last year we went 2 1/2 months without rain. One extreme to another I guess I will take the rain.

I got up this morning it was 76 degrees with 90% humidity and at the present time it's raining and I'll bet we've hand 2 inches in the last hour. Every evening we get those sea breeze thunder shows and they can be real wild when they are accompanied by the wind.

Yeah it can get really hot and humid here, right now (8.21am) it's 74 degrees with 100% humidity. We're into summer but we've been cutting full out since the beginning of April.

Remember, I'm south of you. What you get, I get ~3X over during the rainy season. I over bought for speed and power specifically, to get the job done quickly between showers and blow thru the wet grass.

Make sure your customers are watering enough and at night. I bribe my customers to do it :)

I'm going hate how fast it grows here after this Tropical Storm gets done, there saying a possible 4 to 7 inches in 48 hours. I'm going to have to wait another three days to dry up before I start mowing again.
