Greetings,
I hope I don't rant (too much) but that black piece of plastic designed to push clippings towards the ground is making me crazy. Within a few weeks of buying my Troy-Bilt self-propelled mower, it fell off and I ran it over. I contacted the local dealer to put in some kind of claim but got the brush off. I then bought a cheaper replacement from Amazon which worked OK for a couple months now today I noticed it had developed the dreaded sag so it too fell off and of course I ran it over.
The thing works fine in the beginning. It fits on the chrome tube well but eventually for some reason its starts to sag and start falling off. It's a bad disgne to begin with but I'm hoping some forum members have an alterative to this setup or at minimum a way to keep the damn thing attached. I thought about very small auto hose clamps. I'm sure there are much better workarounds for this frustrating problem. Is there a better product out there that will stay on? So far I've had the one that came with the mower and the Amazon replacement, both of which seemed to work unttil failing. Any insights would be appreciated, thanks
