Well picked her up today and she runs:thumbsup:

Needs some work but hey, be boring if she didn't:smile:

Got two spare wheels with it as well so as I can build a trailer to match

Its a Westwood T1600 from about the mid to late 80s.
British built for british conditions.

Thanks for that.

Its got a bigger engine than the Triumph 110 I used to have and bigger than my bothers Boneville that he's restoring.

Idea was to put the engine in the Atco or the Hayter but this Westwood is in far better condition than advertised so might just fix it up for a bit of mowing.

Still need an engine now for the Atco and one for the Hayter, just to use as tractors not for mowing.

Parts for the older Westwoods are now getting harder to source new so ebay for a scrapper is best bet.
As for the Atco or Hayter depending on model, look for a briggs model 28 and you wont go wrong.

I'll remember that for one of them, the other is to be chain driven through a three speed 1940's gearbox from an old motorcycle. Thought of using a horizontal drive motor and a cart type back axle with disc brake. We'll see:smile:
