Just bought this and dont know what mower it's sitting on.

In working order so fingers crossed and will pick it up tomorrow.:smile:

Well picked her up today and she runs:thumbsup:

Needs some work but hey, be boring if she didn't:smile:

Got two spare wheels with it as well so as I can build a trailer to match

Its a Westwood T1600 from about the mid to late 80s.
British built for british conditions.

Thanks for that.

Its got a bigger engine than the Triumph 110 I used to have and bigger than my bothers Boneville that he's restoring.:eek:

Idea was to put the engine in the Atco or the Hayter but this Westwood is in far better condition than advertised so might just fix it up for a bit of mowing.

Still need an engine now for the Atco and one for the Hayter, just to use as tractors not for mowing.:smile:

Parts for the older Westwoods are now getting harder to source new so ebay for a scrapper is best bet.
As for the Atco or Hayter depending on model, look for a briggs model 28 and you wont go wrong.

I'll remember that for one of them, the other is to be chain driven through a three speed 1940's gearbox from an old motorcycle. Thought of using a horizontal drive motor and a cart type back axle with disc brake. We'll see:smile:
