going from concrete to gravel

I have plowed our concrete driveway and blacktop street for years with my Cub Cadet LT2138. It has a front mounted snow blade. Our new house has a gravel driveway. Are there any adjustments I should make to the blade setup? I was wondering if the skid pads under the blade should be extended for more clearance.

Thanks for any guidance.

I find on mine I don't extend the skid pads. I tried it both ways and found I get less ice build if can get more snow off the driveway. You may have to do a little more lawn cleaning in the spring time.

I have a 600 foot gravel driveway, what I do is plow so I leave about an inch of snow the first few times, once the ground is frozen up good I let the blade just drag on the surface.
No gravel or stone is removed this way.

i sell Ariens snowblowers and what i tell my customer to do is leave the skid shoes down and have the scraper bar clear about a 1/2 inch and let it
freez up and them lower it down and it will keep it cleaned up after that.
