I need to kill the seat switch because it is killing my mower. when I am out mowing I have to get off frequently to pick up sticks and stopping and starting the motor that often is putting a drain on the battery. also if I lean over to pick one up it also kills the mower. please help. I found this once before but I don't know where, it was something with the yellow wire.

Try just unplugging it if that does work then jump the two wires together.

what kind of mower is it? if its an ayp then you can unbolt the metal plate on the bottom and there will be a bolt with like a metal sleeve on them. take the metal sleeve off and then put the bolts back in. then you will be all set and ready to mow. also why dont you put it in park and turn the deck off when you go to pick up a stick? or get one of those things with the fingers where you pull a trigger and it squeezes the fingers together and pick up the sticks if you dont want to get off the tractor?

Have you tried killing the blades, and setting the parking brake? It should keep running this way.

I've all the things you have mentioned. I have a craftsman riding mower LT 2500. nothing is working but it is killing my battery. I do use the long handle to pick up stick but when I lean it kills the motor too. It's very sensitive!

Mine kills when I lean to but only when the blades are engaged if I set the brake, and turn off the blades it stays running.
