I have a 72in JD F935 diesel that I purchased last summer to mow several properties. The mower has been sitting since late fall, I did not run or crank it during that time. I'm pretty familiar with gasoline engines, but don't have much experience with diesel engines. What are the best things to do for a diesel engine after sitting, to help limit wear and tear?

WELCOME to these Forums...
Diesel power is the Best for any real work...
I change engine oil every spring. Use a good Diesel Rated oil. or a Great Diesel Rated Synthetic oil.
Clean the Air Filter, diesels run A Lot more air then a gasoline engine.
Change engine coolant every other year.
Keep your fuel clean. Run at least 2 percent bio diesel, (it is the best lubricity additive you get.)
Enjoy decades of trouble free mowing. :smile:KennyV
