gas tank leaking

i have a 2007 toro 22 inch recycler model # 20065 lawn mower sn# 270001 to 270999
and the gas tank on it leaks. how do i get a new gas tank for it ?

Don't know where your tank leaks but have you thought about repairing it. You can buy gas tank repair kits from most auto parts stores or I use seals-all myself.

according to your numbers, it is a Briggs, and the part # is 699374, any mower shop or online can get it for you.

You could call Briggs direct. I have heard of them replacing tanks under warranty, even though the warranty expired years earlier,
due to the liability of a leaking gas tank.

Now that would be a lot better then a repair job and if you can get it under warranty it even better.

where is it leaking from? just a curiosity.

GOOP makes a product called " seal all" made for plastic gas tanks. I have used it and it works.

I just bought a Snapper used and it had the same problem. I bought a tank at the local mower shop. I think it was $42 and another $4 for the plastic cap to go with it.
