Needle & seat in carburetor not sealing properly. Remove & disassemble carburetor to find problem or replace carburetor. Install an inline fuel cutoff valve to prevent future problems or use the fuel cutoff in carburetor, if present.

The needle and seat are not sealing right. you will have to open the carb up and fix that or get a new carb.

Get a new carb. Carb for that model runs around $19.
Normally with this setup with the fuel pump it will overfill the carb before getting into the oil, remove air filter and look inside if needle valve is leaking intake will be full of gas. Carb sets about fuel tank. Also check to make sure the fuel pump isn't leaking into the carb.
Twice.
Run the mower for about 10 minutes then change the oil a second time.
It takes a bit to get all the fuel out and as you are coming into your off season you do not want the mower sitting for months with fuel contaminated oil in the sump.
