Hello and thanks for your reply. I am in Italy and happened to check my email. As far as the motor is concerned. I took it to a repair shop and they pulled it apart. Discovered one wire pulled out of the connection block and resoldered it back into place. Also found one bad bearing in the motor but since replacement is sold in sets I had them replace both. Did not have time before trip to replace motor. Will probably reinstall when I return home. Had no way of ascertaining if motor was faulty or if it was another part (perhaps the controller?). Didn't know anything about transaxel or bearings there. However, I do get power to the blades but nothing at all happens when I flip the rocker switch forward or reverse. I does beep but no movement. I unfortunately am not a mechanical wizard. And it is costly for me to make repairs. I would love to get one more season out of the beast. The repair of the motor cost 185 dollars for parts and labor. Yikes!!!.

You're describing exactly what happens when the 36v -> 5V DC-DC converter burns out (assuming you have the 2013 model). If that is the case, then you can buy this part and replace it yourself (it's rather easy). The model of the part is KIM-055L with 25v 1000 microfarad capacitors. The capacitors are slightly smaller than the original but it works just fine since I've used it for a while now:

If you go to this other tractor forum link, I posted a picture of what it looks like (it's concealed inside a gray box and I'm pointing to it in post #9 in the link below):
