RECHARGE MOWER went out of business. Does anyone know where to buy replacement blades and other parts? I've searched for hours on end. Ebay has some, but turned out to be the wrong parts.

There was a guy here just a few days ago with a G2 not
'starting'.... give him a PM he might just junk his.

Failing that, get creative in matching up an available blade, or find a smithy?

Hi,

After 3 long years of problems with the Recharge G2, my wife and I decided to cut our losses and dismantle our no-longer operational G2.

I will be parting it out if anyone here is interested. I do have 2 sets of batteries, 2 sets of blades (one set is new/unused) and 2 sets of everything else except the front end and do not have any tires (decided to re-purpose them elsewhere). Have 3 complete sets of chargers.

If interested you can contact me via PM. We live in the West Suburban Chicago area. Obviously I am not going to ship the batteries but may consider shipping parts if buyer pays shipping. Happy to sell via ebay/paypal.

Thanks
Jim

Do you still have G2 parts? I'm looking a blade motor part. The part that goes on the shaft the blade sits on. Or a whole blade motor.

Thanks Brent

Hi,
I know some time has past since you posted this but if you still have parts I am interested in the electric motor. I bought this mower from my environmentally conscious son-in-law when he gave up on it. It has been perfect for my small city property (less than a quarter acre) until I got it caught between a fence and a tree. I guess I put too much strain on the drive motor because the blades operate but I have no forward or backward movement. I pulled the motor but typical of recharge there is no identification so even if there is a third party manufacturer I can't identify the part. I will certainly pay shipping costs. Please let me know.

It sounds like you're talking about the blade key. It's made of aluminum and has broken on me several times and I'm running low on that part, so I paid a company to 3D scan it and make a CAD file for it when I run out. I'm posting that CAD file here for everyone to use. There are several companies I've seen on the internet that will accept CAD files (STL files) and quote you for how much it will cost to 3D print the part. The type of 3D printing you should get a quote for is DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) and definitely not in aluminum. If you get it printed, you should at least have them print in stainless steel so it won't break again. I have a quote already to give me an idea as to how much it will cost. I was quoted $300 to print one using this CAD file in stainless steel. If anyone finds a cheaper quote, please post where you got it quoted here.

Here's a link to the Blade Key CAD file (STL file):

If the url expires at some point, just pm me and I'll post it again.

Are you sure it's the motor? You tested out all the wiring as well to make sure no switches have failed? Also note that the 2013 version has a 36v -> 5v DC-DC converter that can burn out (it's burned out on me once) where the tractor will not go if it has burned out. I documented that in the link I'm posting below. In addition, the oem transaxle on the G2 is notorious for failing due to the use of roller bearings instead of ball bearings in the transaxle. You can try one of two things. Either replace the crappy roller bearing and hope it doesn't go out again or do what I did and replace the entire transaxle with a Euclid Universal Model 425. I posted pictures of the new transaxle and mount (as well as info about the DC-DC converter and wiring diagrams for the 2012 & 2013 versions) here:

Hello and thanks for your reply. I am in Italy and happened to check my email. As far as the motor is concerned. I took it to a repair shop and they pulled it apart. Discovered one wire pulled out of the connection block and resoldered it back into place. Also found one bad bearing in the motor but since replacement is sold in sets I had them replace both. Did not have time before trip to replace motor. Will probably reinstall when I return home. Had no way of ascertaining if motor was faulty or if it was another part (perhaps the controller?). Didn't know anything about transaxel or bearings there. However, I do get power to the blades but nothing at all happens when I flip the rocker switch forward or reverse. I does beep but no movement. I unfortunately am not a mechanical wizard. And it is costly for me to make repairs. I would love to get one more season out of the beast. The repair of the motor cost 185 dollars for parts and labor. Yikes!!!.
