My PB18VA46 sat in the shed all winter. Last week I wanted to move it to the summer shed and when I started it, it ran for a little and died. Now I have no fuel to the carb. It will run good with a little starting fluid, but dies right away. could this be a stuck float or the fuel pump? Thank you for help.

Without knowing what engine you have it would be difficult to give specific advice for your mower. I suspect it could be a stuck float. It sounds like it ran the fuel out of the carb and then quit. I would start be removing the line between the carb and the fuel pump, crank the engine and see if you are getting anything out of the pump.

Yes and yes
Also a blocked fuel line
Also a stuck carb solenoid.
Pull the fuel line off the carb & crank.
A strong full flow through the tube means the fuel supply is good & the problem is within the carb.

We call it a fuel system purge. We sonic tank the carbs, and make it all squeaky clean.

it was just a stuck float. I let my friend use it last fall and he must have used bad gas. works fine now.
