Back in the day when they built the K Kohler model engine you could buy a fuel pump OH kit. If you can still find one of the rebuild kits the answer is yes. You might also find it is just as cheap to replace the complete fuel pump. What is wrong with the old pump? The last one I took apart the valve was loose in the housing. Maybe its something as simple as a peace of dirt stuck in one of the valves??

The fuel pump you will need is part number 41 559 05. This site might have one that you can use if the lever is the same.
