HDS 3185 question. fuel in the fuel filter, when start up the fuel in filter is sucked up to the fuel pump, but then no more fuel is advanced and visually not seen in fuel filter? i dont see any fuel being advanced to fuel filter? 2. how do you get the seat mount off. i see 4 nuts to undo but u cant get a wrench in the seat channel to small. trying to remove seat. to get to the top of the fuel tank to check out a fuel sensor or some what that is at the top of tank?

Made by MTD with a Vanguard Briggs. It should just have a vacuum operated fuel pump. The fuel filter should be between the tank and the fuel pump. There isn't anything to get to inside the fuel tank that I know of.

Correct sir mtd. briggs. When u start the engine the fuel in f. filter is vacuumed to f. pump, but no fuel continue to flow into the fuel filter from the tank?

I had a fuel flow problem and I used air to gently pressure my fuel tank by holding a plastic bag around my air gun and blowing air into it. I had the fuel line in a bucket to see that gas was flowing. I forced fuel thru the line and the new filter.
Then I hooked the line backup to the fuel pump and my problem was solved.
