Same of the pancakes. I kinda like the clear as I can see when the fuel is boiling which help me to solve to fuel starvation problems.

First off this should be a different thread.
HOW did you know it was the fuel additives in the gas that caused the problems ? Additives don't make gas jell.
It wasn't a jell it was a light pink powder like substance that completely caked the filter.

While the subject of jell what in craytell causes it as I have seen it few and even had a couple carburetors with what looked like small jelly beans.

Pink power ? Was this after gas has dried up ? If so it could be the dye that is put in different grades of gas.
Jelly is cause by eithenol in the gas blend. It absorbs moisture and makes the jelly when gas dries up in carb float bowls or gas tanks.
