Fuel filter

Honda HR215HX fuel filter location, my unit has ran great for years and now after starting it will sputter and black smoke from exhaust, I have taken the carburetor apart and cleaned it install a new plug and air filter I would like to replace the fuel filter if it has one. Not sure if this will solve my problem.

Black smoke is running rich (too much fuel or not enough air) so a fuel filter won't be causing your issue.
Check your engine oil for being over filled or the smell of gasoline.
