fuel delivery problem.. help.help.help

OK this is a wierd situation that i have never had before... Late last year is when it started to happen, but i did not get around to fixing until now.. because my grass is growing again...

When I fill the tank with gasoline.. and walk away.. the gas will drain from the tank, through the carboretor, into the cylinder, and then drop into the crank case.. filling the crank case with fuel.. very dangerous situation.

I cleaned the carboretor... did not fix it.. I changed the fuel pump.. did not fix it.. I think I need to replace the carboreter but really not sure...

Any thoughts on this??

Your float needle n the carb is not working properly. If it came to me I would start by rebuilding the carb with a new float needle and seat.

yeah... i will have to check on those parts... hopefully they sell them apart from a whole new carb..
