Just wondering if any GH frontmount mower owners on this board also happen to have any of the GH attachments for their tractors?? I'm particularly interested in the Little Bully Dozer Blade, Snow Thrower and the AERO-vator. Would love to hear any and all comments, pros/cons, etc.

TIA

Jinzo,
I have used a GH snowblower on my 1992 612 from the begining with nothing but good results. It works in 2" snow to 20" snow. I have even had great success with deep drifted snow once I have gotten through the first pass, I added drift cutters off an old Bolens tractor mount blower I used to use, that has helped me cut through 48" drifts. The only draw back I have ever encountered is snow gettng up intothe PTO drive belt and the orbital drive belt, the new direct drive pumps would help with that.

Thanks for the response. I am on the lookout for a used 60" thrower to fit my '97 721D. We usually don't get more than 8-10 inches at a time, so I'm thinking I should be OK with something on the Grasshopper (even a 48") instead of coughing up the dough for a full-size truck plow - especially since I no longer have a truck!.

I have the Dozer Blade and the Aero-Vator on a 727. I have been impressed with both. I am amazed with the amount of snow I can push if its not icey. I never knew the concept behind the Aero-Vator until I started using it. I have a new yard and in some spots the grass didn't come up because of heavy rains. With the AV I can run thru the yard and it will work the bare spots like a tiller but it will not disturb the grass that did survive. In the spring and fall I Aero-Vate and overseed and this has saved me from starting over.

WELCOME to LMF.... from another Kansan...
What part of Kansas are you?? I'm just east of Wichita...

I have several front mount attachments, but then my Tractor is a ZTR and almost all are mounted up front...

I had a blade on my Cub Cadet 1450... worked okay for pushing snow, but it lost out to the snow blower on my heated cab ZTR... :smile:KennyV

Well...

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 48" snowthrower from the local dealer today I've been searching the web for a decent shape used one, but coming up dry. What I've seen looks too rough to bother with; I don't want to inherit a basket case / beater unit.

The dealer has one set up on a floor display tractor so he's giving me a deal. Never been used, but since it's a display they're selling it for cheap. I'm hooking up my trailer this afternoon and going to pick it up after work. I'll let you know what I think once the snow starts to stick; we got our first snowfall tonight, but it was barely an inch and will be gone by this afternoon, but the "real" stuff will be here soon enough. :( But hey, but at least I'll be ready for it now. :D

You will like this blower very much, after the first snow you will wonder how you ever got along without.

I have a GH620 with the dozer blade for pushing snow. I works well; but, sometimes the machine slides. I have been able to clear up to a ft of snow at a time with it. I purchased the blade at the end of session 2 years ago at a great discount 50% off. If I was buying now at full price, I'd look at the snow thrower.
