Or at least here in Scotland it is.

How often are you having to mow in your lawn ?

I mow at 2.75" and right now here in the south I'm mowing every 8 or 9 days cutting no more than 1" off each time. I have centipede grass, I know that makes a difference.

I am finding myself cutting on Wednesday and Sunday. My septic field is in my front yard and I could honestly mow it every other day.

Every five days seems to be the sweet spot here in the Detroit area; I'm assuming it's mostly Kentucky blue grass.

Depends on the grass - I have to cut mine every 7 days while my father, who lives right across the street, can go 2 weeks.

Exactly! Here in Southern Ontario, I've had to do it anywhere from twice a week to once every other week, depending on the weather, time of year and degree of fertilization. I have a half-acre lot and the septic tank is in the back, while the front slopes down towards the road, so the grass in front drains faster and grows slower. Right now I'm mowing once a week, but sometimes skipping the front.
