OK, now that i got the FREE Dixie Chopper, chopping well, I'm going to work some more on the FREE, Cub Cadet zero-turn which I have gotten running well but it vibrates even before I engage the blades. I saw a youtube video where a guy complained about this problem with this mower. Any suggestions before I get under it and start poking around? THANKS

Hydro drive belt with a piece missing causing the idler arm to bounce. Or something stuck in one of the hydro pulleys causing the same effect

take all the belts off the engine and see if the vibration stops
If it does not then the engine is the problem
Also check the engine mounts are tight

I checked the engine and it's solidly mounted. I don't think it's the engine because it stops vibrating sometimes. I'll remove the belts and give it a go. THANKS....

You might check the cooling fans on the drives. If one or more blades are missing, that might cause a vibration.

Seen a couple Cub Cadets that had terrible knock and some vibration from belt under engine. The idler was slapping around ferociously!
New belt and possibly a slightly shorter belt (can't remember now) fixed it up.
