I know of a situation locally where a guy found something on Craig's list supposedly to cut grass at reposed property. He got 8 yards the first day. I have looked at everything I can look at for Craig's list and I can't find anything.

Do any of you guys know how one might find info on getting this type of work?

This kind of work is not for every one the yards are not close together maybe 20 mins to a hour sometimes you get lucky and get a bunch within 10 mins of each other.
On graigslist look under all gigs.

Or go to safeguard properties .com
And sign up as a vender.

A2z field services.

If you was close to me I would give you more yards than you could handle.
I start guys out at 10 yards a week then give them more as they get faster. I pay $40 a yard

You have to take anywhere from 15 to 30 pics per yard depends on if it is bank owned or a HUD home.

You can look up property preservation and find a lot of company's that hire subs.

(( racing is the only sport that you need two balls ))

I gave up around 150 yards in Alabama. Would have been a long drive for you. They was all up north around Gadsden

Mowing foreclosures has seemed to come to an end around here. Most of the foreclosures in this area were looking good but they've turn ugly again and the guys that were doing them have disappeared. I wonder if this government sequester thing has dried up the money for that kinda stuff?

I think what may be happen is the property could be in transition from the bank to HUD. Or could be that they just can not find anyone to do them or the company lost the contract.

Bank standards are not as high as HUDs

I know if I lived next to one or across the road from one I would cut the grass so I would not have to look at it.

You should look into doing a few of them. You have good mowers for it.

Thanks for the info. I will try to get signed up. I wish we had another 20 to 30 yards a week. We have the equipment and are insured as well as licensed in the towns around here.

Don't want anything to do with the bank owned homes or HUD. The guys that are doing them here are only making between $7 and $10 per lawn. The thing is to do them here you don't even need any equipment because the company's will supply everything you need to do the job, they supply you with the truck, trailer a ZTR, trimmer and gas for all. They give you a list of homes and a time limit to have that list done. The guys show up, take before and after pictures. They mow the lawn and trim the house if you want to call it that and run up the sidewalks with the mower to blow off what grass it will remove, load the mower and there gone. No thank you :thumbdown:

I have down sized to just 5 yards these days but there sure are alot of empty homes here that need the lawns cut. I had heard our county is working on passing an ordinance that will be fining home owners, and the banks that have the foreclosed properties that let the grass get over 18" tall, and dont maintain them.
