Recent news brought up an old subject I had forgotten about. Ford F150 catching fire so I researched and found others. The culprit seems to be in the cruise control as near as I can determine from reading. This won't effect me but some members that drive fords or know someone that does may not know to get it checked out before serious personal or property damage.
****************************************************************
Ford's recall notice for faulty cruise control wiring includes vehicles equipped with factory-installed speed control:
1994-2002 Ford F-150s
1997-2002 Ford Expeditions
1998-2002 Lincoln Navigators
1994-1996 Ford Broncos

The fires occured at the brake master cylinder. The cruise control override was a normally closed circuit that overheated and cause the brake fluid to ignite.
It was a quick, inexpensive fix that owners were contacted about and asked to bring the vehicle in. It was fixed while you waited.
That was the issue with the 1994 -02 F150
