I'm still the new guy here, reading and learning. Long story, but I would like to sell a used HRB 217 transmission and change cable. I found it on Craigslist and the seller thought it would fit my HRB216. I bought it after I sent him a parts page and he said it looked the same, so I took a chance and bought it..The change cable attachment is different than the one on my 216. I should have not been in such a hurry and did my homework.
The person who sold it told me it was removed from a mower with a bad motor.
It looks to be in good shape, everything spins smoothly, and the cable looks good as well. No sign of leakage.I'm just trying to recoup my investment. $55 shipped to the lower 48 States.
