The seat will make the biggest and most notable difference and then the flex forks will further improve the ride but not as drastic. Together they make a for a greatly improved ride. The only problem is I have a tendency to mow to fast with the Super Z so have to consciously keep it at a reasonable mowing speed.

Does anyone have a link to a good but reasonably priced seat for the Raptor SD? I too have been thinking about flex forks but if the seat is the way to go... My 3 acre lawn looks butter smooth but looks are deceiving. Very deceiving.

If I can't sell my XOne I'm also going to put a suspension seat on it. I've been researching seats from $200 up to $650. What's your budget?

This is the seat I THINK I'm going with: Milsco V5400 Air Seat Fits Hustler BadBoy Scag Exmark Dixie Chopper Etc | eBay

Yeah it's a lot of $$ but I like the the ability to adjust on the fly vs. a crank handle on this seat:

$200 or less would be my budget. lol. No way i'm getting approval for $600.

I'm just not telling my wife what I'm doing. LOL!!!

Anyways....I can't comment on "what's the best option in the $200 range" because I don't know. I've seen suspension "inserts" that go between the mower and your existing seat.

Like this: Seat Suspension Exmark Kubota John Deere Z Trak Toro Hustler ZTR Lawn Mowers EP | eBay

or this: Seat Suspension Kit for Exmark Lazer Z Grasshopper Toro John Deere Gravely | eBay

Again, I have no idea how much improvement yo will see or the durability of the unit.

Check out Milsco seats, I have a Milsco V5300 mechanical suspension seat tan color on my Scag Tiger Cub around $450. The Milsco V5400 is an air version of the 5300, but around $650.
The Grammer MSG75 is next up the line, a $1,200 retail seat, but can be had for around $850.
Had I known how much difference on a ZTR a good seat was I would have bought one years ago.

Yes they're worth every penny...I have a set on my Fast Trak SD... they not only take wear and tear off the operator....they also (IMO) protect your investment as well..I used to notice on rough terrain the engine would sometimes cut out after installing the FF I no longer have this issue.... I would also have to assume that they help keep all screws and bolts tight as well...wise investment JMO

The cutting out would be the seat switch from the machine bouncing.
