Ones anybody know of a way to keep fleas off of a dog? We have a small mixed breed dog. 12#'s that stays in the house almost all of the time. However she constantly gets fleas and I do not think she is getting them from inside the house since we never see them anywhere else. She goes outside on a leash three or so times a day to do her business and comes right back in. Every few days I find one or two on her.

We have bathed her on Blue Dawn dish washing liquid. That did not seem to stop them. We give her a Capstar every few days and within a very few days we find another flea.....

It is unreal to me how they get on her that often.

I've Got three dogs that go in and out of the house daily and Yes I do know what to use but you can't get it over the counter. It's called Trifexis. You'll have to get the medicine from the Veterinarian. It's a once a month pill. It starts killing fleas in 30 minutes, it also prevents Heartworm disease and intestinal worms.

In order to get either the comfortis or trifexis you'll have to take your dog in to be check for worms or they wont sell you the stuff.

Trifexis is the way to go. Takes care of everything and no fleas or ticks will get on your dog. Mine is in and out of the house all the time. Takes every step I make.

Just for your information you need to look at this before you make your decision to use the Trifexis. you need all the info first. I personally think it's a lot of garbage. I've used the Trifexis on my dogs for the last three years and never had an issue.
