--- IS600Z Model 5901701, 48", with 25hp B&S engine ---
I go to move the mower into the barn.
a) When I turn the key to the ON position, we can hear a click-noise at the engine (a relay at rear?).
However, it will NOT start when turning the key to the START position.
1) Parking brake and PTO are NOT engaged.
2) Ground Speed Control levers are in Neutral.
3) The two fuses (Main 20amp, PTO 15amp) are good.
4) Battery is good and its terminals are clean.
5) 1/4 tank of gas and oil level is spot on.
6) New solenoid installed (I thought that was the starting problem).
b) Okay, here's the second issue that's a bit confusing:
If I jump the two positive posts on the solenoid, the engine starts up.
(Key is ON, Seat sensor is jumper-ed because seat is up).
I swivel the seat down, sit, and disengage the Parking brake, then the engine turns off.
(all in the YouTube video).
It's odd that
(1) it wont key-start, but starts if I jumper the solenoid, but:
(2) the engine dies when I disengage the Parking brake (key is in ON position).
FIXED.
