Powered by EcoSharp technology, Snow Joe® patent-pending rechargeable 40-volt lithium-ion battery system, the iON delivers 25-40 minutes of whisper-quiet run time with zero carbon emissions for cleaner air. No pull-cords, gas, oil, tune-ups or tangled extension cords to cause unnecessary frustration!

The iON starts instantly with a simple push of a button and its ergonomic handle maximizes user comfort during use. Equipped with a heavy-duty, 2-blade rubber auger, the iON cuts through thick and heavy snow, clearing a path 18-inches wide and 8-inches deep with each pass. Plus, the rubber scraper bar at the base of the unit lets you clear right to the ground without damaging your deck or pavement. Featuring a 180° auto-rotate chute that rotates instantly with the push of a switch, the iON lets you snow throw up to 20 feet in the direction you want it to go. For nighttime snow removal, the iON has an integrated LED headlight that easily switches on to increase visibility. GET EQUIPPED this winter with the Snow Joe® iON the easy, convenient and cordless solution to get snow out of your way on your snow day."

I don't know if it's Li-Ion, but there are battery-powered ones by Sun-Joe: Sun Joe Mow Joe 20-Inch Bag/Mulch/Side Discharge Cordless Self-Propelled Lawn Mower MJ409C

All those Sun Joe lawn mowers are either corded or SLA battery cordless, and have been around for many years. I'm specifically looking for them to introduce Li-Ion battery powered mowers, similar to those from Greenworks, Recharge Mower, and Stihl.

There is a reason there are no other battery operated snowblowers

It takes a lot of steady power to move heavy snow.... the battery is fine but what will happen if there is any significant amount of snow?

Well then that would bot be the machine for you, because similar electric snowblowers are only rated for 4 inches of snow. And similar single-stage gas snow blowers are only rated for 6 inches. Well, according to Power Equipment Direct.

Yes well electric has steady power from an outlet no battery to drain, and gas snowblowers have lots of sustainable power. How long will these batteries last with 4in of snow?
