I mow around 8 acres of lawn. (15 total acres)
With my tractor (Kioti DK 35 with 84" rear discharge finish mower) takes just over 3 hours.(averaging just over 2 1/2 acres/hour)
The same mowing with my 35 HP Hustler Super Z 72" zero turn takes just over 2 hours (Averaging around 4 acres per/hour.)
I mow it every week through the summer.
My zero turn is faster at mowing, but the tractor with an 84" mower is no slouch at mowing.
If I could have only 1 it would have to be the tractor.
Zero turn mows. Mows fast and cuts mowing time. Mows spring/summer only
But my tractor does the loader work, backhoe work, lawn mowing, tilling, blading/grading, snow plowing, snow blowing, brush mowing, ETC. ETC. Tractor gets used year round
