2004 Walker Model MS with Kawasaki FE400D engine. It starts and runs for 1-2 min and then stops. The fuel line is clear. Could it need a coil replacement? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

When it stops, is there fuel in the bowl? Will it restart right away?

Put a couple of red in line spark testers on the plugs
Start the engine and watch the testers
If they keep on flashing till the ngine stops you have a fuel problem
If they stop flashing before the engine stops revolving then you have an electrical problem.

Do this & get back for further instructions

Why two? It is a single cylinder horizontal shaft engine.

If it lack of spark it is more likely the igniter that is bad and not the coil.
