good lord I feel stupid.. I didn't think third one used an igniter because the one wire that comes from thr coil goes into a bundle with 2 other wires and it looked like it went to the key switch... and I guess I lost track of that wire but there it is now that I stood on my head.
I've got an new rotary igniter or two around Here somewhere

Yes but still hurts to pocket book. At least hopefully you learn something. It when we keeping making the same mistakes is when it is not good.

Been there when I first started working Kawasaki engines. I brought a few new Kawasaki coils [$$$] from JD before I found how to cross reference to Kawasaki numbers. Since then I learn to always look up what I am working on see what is in involved. Later versions of Kawasaki engines can be either way.

But things still can bite you at times like forgetting to reconnect the fuel line on a rebuild of a FS106 two cycle. That one got me last weekend but I found it going through my checks but still feel stupid for over looking it on the re-assembly.
