I have a (well several) Farmall H tractors and out of all of them only 1 is the old hand crank starter tractors. I really want to do away with the hand crank (it's a pain to crank to start). Anyone ever do this? Is it a pain?

If it has the hole for mounting a starter at the flywheel, no problem.

Many years ago we had an H model, You can use the 6 volt starter with a 12 volt battery, just need to use a 12 volt generator or alternator, put an ignition dropping resistor before the coil and you will have an easy starting H... :smile:KennyV
