Broke the belt tightener on the 60" rear discharge deck on the F935 JD. Can not find a number on the deck. Does anyone know a model number or have a diagram of the belts and pulleys?
Making sure everything is clean is the most important part, engine flange & crankshaft, no nicks, dings, rust, etc. You can use fine grit sand paper to clean & dress up rough areas. Use a small drill bit 1/16th or 3/32nds and drill 2 holes opposite each other, drill just through outer face of oil seal, and install 2 sheet metal screws with large heads, if you have a slide hammer tool removing seal will be easy, if not vise grips, pry bar, etc. Before installing new oil seal, apply a thin coat of engine oil on crankshaft and a thin bead of clear automotive silicone to outside edge of oil seal, gently install oil seal over crankshaft, line up oil seal in cavity & use a deep well socket, pipe, etc. that is of the same diameter as seal and tap in with ball peen hammer.
